Kjerstin Gould, Founder & CEO
Kjerstin is the founder of Gould Cloud Accounting, which specializes in providing modern, streamlined accounting and cash management solutions for progressive businesses. Her goal is to offer a comprehensive and highly accurate service that is responsive to clients’ needs.
The most fulfilling part of her work is taking everything she’s learned in her professional life so far, and translating it into providing something that is much-needed – and then doing it bettr than anyone else.
Educational Background
Kjerstin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from San Jose State University with an emphasis in research methods and statistics, graduating magna cum laude. She earned an Accounting Certificate from the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from San Jose State University, specializing in finance and budgeting.

Senior Accountant
Joemie earned her CPA in 2017. Since then she’s been working for numerous US-based clients across diverse industries. Her professional journey includes serving as a cloud accountant for one of the largest accounting firms in the United States. In her accounting responsibilities, Joemie’s meticulous eye for detail ensured every transaction was a step toward financial clarity. She also spearheaded initiatives that helped her clients improve the accuracy and clarity of their books. Her experience in providing comprehensive accounting services has further honed her expertise in the field.

The Inspiration Behind GCA
It’s all about serving our customers.
While working for two of the biggest CPA firms in the U.S., I deeply enjoyed partnering with my clients. However the big CPA firms provided clients with a maze of disorganized systems and a confusing array of contacts, with insufficient collaboration. The result was that clients couldn’t get a timely response, even if they could figure out who to go to with their questions. The big firm “factory approach” works great for year-end tax preparation, but this approach fails to meet the needs of businesses who demand streamlined and transparent accounting management. Cloud accounting is relational, and requires partnership with our clients.
Thus, Gould Cloud Accounting was born out of my vision to replace the black hole of the big accounting firms with a single, expert point of contact who knows your complete financial story. Dedicated, personal, and accessible, GCA is your guide to leveraging your complete financial picture and business process improvements.
